Terms of Service

LMC Repair Services Ltd trading as LMC Domestic Appliance Repairs

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by LMC Repair Services Ltd, trading as LMC Domestic Appliance Repairs (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By booking a repair visit, installation, or otherwise instructing us to attend, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Repair Visit & Charges

Our standard Repair Visit is payable in advance of the appointment.

The Repair Visit includes:

  • Attendance by an engineer

  • Assessment of the reported fault

  • Repairs completed during the visit where no replacement parts are required and the appliance is repairable.

Where replacement parts are required, these will be quoted separately.
There is no obligation to proceed with additional work if you choose not to accept the quotation.

In some cases an appliance may be deemed beyond economical repair.

2. Payment Terms

The Repair Visit fee must be paid prior to the scheduled appointment.
Payment is required to confirm the booking.


If payment is not received, we reserve the right to cancel or not confirm the appointment.

Any additional charges for parts or further work will be agreed separately and payable as advised at the time.

3. Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling

3.1 Customer Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment:

  • More than 24 hours’ notice: refund or reschedule.

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: Payment is non-refundable but may be transferred once at our discretion.

3.2 Missed Appointments & Access Issues

If an engineer attends and is unable to carry out work due to:

  • No access to the property

  • The appliance not being accessible

  • No responsible adult (18+) present

  • Incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information provided at booking

The Repair Visit fee will be retained in full, and no refund will be due.

3.3 Our Right to Cancel or Reschedule

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, including engineer availability.

Where this occurs, you will be offered either:

  • A rescheduled appointment, or

  • A full refund of any advance payment made.

4. Appliance Coverage

We work on common domestic laundry and kitchen appliances only.

The following are excluded:

  • Gas appliances

  • Refrigeration appliances, including fridges and freezers

For certain faults, including unusual noises or complex symptoms, we may request additional information before confirming a booking.

5. Replacement Parts & Further Work

Where replacement parts are required:

  • Costs will be explained and agreed in advance

  • Parts are subject to availability

  • Additional visits may be required and charged separately

Prices for parts may vary depending on manufacturer and supplier.

6. Installation Services

Installation services are provided for suitable domestic appliances only.

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • The appliance is compatible with existing connections

  • The installation location meets manufacturer requirements

Any additional work required beyond a standard installation may be quoted separately.

7. Access, Safety & Condition of Appliances

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • Safe and reasonable access to the appliance

  • The appliance is in a condition suitable for inspection and repair

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing faults or damage

  • Issues caused by previous repairs or installations

  • Manufacturer defects

  • Normal wear and tear

    If access cannot be gained or the appliance is not accessible, the fee is retained.

8. Liability

All services are carried out with reasonable care and skill.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the service provided.

We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

9. Use of Subcontracted Engineers

Services may be carried out by experienced, fully insured engineers engaged by us.
All engineers operate in accordance with our service standards.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time.

The version of the Terms in force at the time of booking will apply to your service.
